Background

The Shimmer Center aims to build a comprehensive development platform integrating education, technology, talent, and industry, actively promoting full-chain innovation from theoretical research, material development, device fabrication to system integration. Starting from first principles combined with machine learning, the center focuses on the scientific research application of multi-scale, multi-physics heterogeneous coupling systems, dedicated to developing multi-dimensional micro-nano structure multifunctional integrated sensing detection systems, to achieve intelligent technological breakthroughs in optoelectronic information integration.

Recruitment Requirements

1. Requirements

    (1) Basic Requirements : Must collaborate with Chinese researchers.

    (2) Professional Background :
            – Research experience in fields such as new materials, new devices, multi-scale and multi-physical field heterogeneous coupling systems, micro-nano structure sensing and detection systems, or optoelectronic information integration and intelligent technology.
            – Experience in participating in research projects in relevant fields, with the ability to conduct independent research and having published high-level academic papers in internationally renowned journals.
            – Ability to solve practical problems in fields such as optoelectrochemistry, new material development, and system integration, and to promote the transformation of theory into technology. 

    (3) International Academic Status (one of the following must be met) :
            – Holding the position of professor, associate professor, or equivalent in a well-known foreign university or research institute.
            – Possesses profound academic achievements, with research outcomes at the forefront of the industry and recognized as a top-level talent in the field.
            – Recognized as urgently needed high-level foreign talent by the national government.

    (4) Research Ability and Achievements :
            – Capable of independently or collaboratively advancing the application and implementation of research projects.
            – Ensures timely progress of research results and successful transformation into practical applications, solving scientific problems faced by society and industry.
            – Demonstrates research results from cross-team, interdisciplinary international collaborations and promotes international interdisciplinary exchanges.

    (5) Language and Communication Skills :
            – Has proficient communication skills in either English or Chinese.
            – Able to effectively collaborate with domestic and international teams and interdisciplinary researchers (such as in materials science, physics, chemistry, and electronic engineering).

2. Job Description

    (1) Exploratory R&D : Focus on cutting-edge interdisciplinary exploration in optoelectrochemistry and materials science, with an emphasis on innovative R&D from multiple dimensions and perspectives. Combine first-principles methods and machine learning techniques to conduct in-depth research into the intelligent breakthroughs in optoelectronic information integration. Explore the innovative applications of optoelectronic materials in micro-nano structure sensing and detection systems, integrating multi-scale and multi-physical field heterogeneous coupling systems.

    (2) Project Planning and Implementation : Assess the potential of new technologies and materials in the field of optoelectrochemistry, and design experimental verification plans based on a full-chain innovation path that integrates theoretical research, material development, and system integration. Execute experiments, analyze data, and accelerate the technology implementation and outcomes through the integration of internal and external resources, promoting both internal and external transformations to achieve seamless alignment between fundamental research and industrial applications.

    (3) Results Promotion and Technology Evaluation : Write technical reports and patent applications, share research findings, and promote academic and industrial exchange. Provide professional opinions, participate in technology evaluation and decision-making, ensuring that the project direction closely aligns with industry needs.

    (4) Building an International Comprehensive Development Platform : Actively participate in building an international comprehensive development platform integrating education, science and technology, talent, and industry, promoting full-chain innovation in optoelectronic information integration, and advancing the progress of theory, materials, devices, and system integration.

Funding and Forms

Service Allowance and Performance Bonuses:
  • Allowance Standard: RMB 20,000 per month (post-tax). The actual payment amount is calculated based on the actual visiting or working time.
  • Performance Bonuses: Issued based on the completion of service development requirements (pre-tax).
Work and Living Conditions:
  • Work Conditions: Office and laboratory facilities are provided.
  • Living Conditions: Apartment housing and related facilities may be provided during the service period (subject to prior application).
Other Benefits:
  • Apart from the above-mentioned service allowance, no additional benefits are provided, including employee housing allocation, housing provident fund, social insurance, or retirement pensions.
